After badly cutting his thumb with a kitchen 22, chris Froome has been compared into hospital for another time this year.
Even the Team Ineos riders stated he had surgery on Friday to place the tendon in his left hand after the crash.
Alongside a picture of him in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling, Froome wrote that the caption:”Stupidly cut my thumb with a kitchen knife and needed to have surgery to put the back again together last night.
“Stuck providing a thumbs up for a few weeks. This is not my year. Can not wait for 2020.”
After being rushed to hospital in June after a crash during the Criterium du Dauphine froome began riding again in August.
He underwent operation after shedding four pints of blood, in addition to suffering a fractured knee, leg, ribs and elbow.
Froome was in hospital for more than a week and was forced to miss the Tour de France.
He’s targeting a return for the Tour, where he will hope to win a fifth name of the next year.
