With All-Ireland winners leading the way with 11 players, the 45 nominees for the 2019 Hurling All-Star team have been declared.
As do Munster winners Limerick, beaten finalists Kilkenny have nine included. Leinster winners Wexford possess eight nominations. Players from Cork, Laois, Dublin and Galway will also be honoured.
The nominations for the gongs were confirmed. There’s no room to get Noel McGrath in the Hurler of the Year conversation, as Premier captain Seamus Callanan, the TJ Reid of Kilkenny and Cork’s Patrick Horgan will battle it out for the honour.
Adrian Mullen, Kyle Hayes and Rory O’Connor are the three chosen to the players’ award.
The final selection will be announced at the yearly banquet on Friday.
