A couple of modifications are being made by MGM to the M life Rewards loyalty program at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in New Jersey.
Owner MGM Resorts International reported these modifications are being forced to the benefits program that was popular to provide consistency.
Effective Oct. 1, MGM is aligning how it simplifies Express Comps across all of MGM properties. In reality, MGM will be adopting how it’s done at Borgata across the US.
That means all of M life Benefits destinations will soon calculate Express Comps based time , average wager and match type.
This calculation process is used at all MGM possessions for table games. It’s also used for slots at MGM National Harbor Borgata, and MGM Springfield. After Oct. 1 it’ll be used throughout the board at MGM properties for both slots and table games.
MGM is also currently standardizing M lifestyle Rewards’ room rate reduction in any respect properties.
That usually means all of M life Gains members will be entitled to 10% off room rates starting Oct. 1. This standardization was started by MGM at its Las Vegas possessions in July of this year. MGM is now rolling it out at all regional M life Rewards destinations, such as Borgata in Atlantic City.
Ultimately, the POINTPlay money is being discontinued by MGM out it once offered in MGM Grand Detroit.
That means M life Gains members at MGM Grand Detroit will not more be allowed to cash out their things.
Previously, MGM Grand Detroit has been the sole MGM home that offered this salvation option. Effective Oct. 1, M lifetime Rewards members might need to convert POINTPlay things into Express Comps.
MGM reported these changes are a part of an effort to make sure the long-term achievement of their M life Rewards program. Participants’ Express Comps accounts won’t change as a result.

MGM Resorts International took full interest in Borgata over after buying out Boyd Gaming Corporation’s 50 percent interest in 2016.
